Netflix has yet another superhero series on the way. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming network has made a 10-episode straight-to-series order for a live-action adaptation of The Umbrella Academy, a limited series from former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and artist Gabriel Bá.

The Umbrella Academy launched in Dark Horse Comics back in 2007. Set in an alternate 1977, the series introduced the core cast of characters as a dysfunctional family of superheroes who must band together to uncover the mystery behind their adopted father’s death while also saving the world from one of their own. The initial run, The Umbrella Academy: The Apocalypse Suite ran for six issues and went on to win an Eisner award for Best Finite Series. It was later followed up by The Umbrella Academy: Dallas, which centers on the Kennedy assassination. Two more run are being planned.

A series based on The Umbrella Academy has been in development since 2015. Legion executive producer Steve Blackman will serve as showrunner for Netflix’s adaptation, and Way is on board as a co-EP. The show will reportedly debut at some point in 2018.
